Rashvinjeet Singh Bedi reports on various topics, including politics, the environment, health and social issues.
He started his journalism career in 2005 as a sportswriter with the Malaysian Today Press, a biweekly that focused on Malaysian sports. He covered the 2005 Sea Games in Manila.
In 2006, he joined the Sunday Star where he worked on long-form features on a variety of subjects.
Rashvin later joined the Star’s online news desk in June 2013.
Among the major events he has covered include the disappearance of MH370, the 2018 Malaysian general elections, fall of Pakatan Harapan government and the COVID-19 pandemic.
He joined CNA in November 2021 and has since reported on elections in Johor and Sarawak, as well as the end 2021 Malaysian floods among other issues.
Rashvin has a degree in Electronics Engineering from the Multimedia University (MMU) of Malaysia.
